YEAR 2 CLASS ASSEMBLY
The Year 2 Class Assembly will take place next Thursday, 14th February 2019 at 2:45pm. Everyone is welcome to come along.

CHOIR CLUB
Choir club is cancelled on Monday 11th February 2019 however the club will re-start again on Monday 25th February 2019. The club will be run every Monday from 3pm—4pm until the Easter holidays.

WORLD BOOK DAY
This year we will be dressing up for World Book Day on Thursday 7th March 2019. We thought parents would appreciate lots of notice as we know how long it can take to find or make something to wear. Please don’t feel that you need to go out and buy an expensive costume or clothes. With a bit of imagination you can often put something together that doesn’t cost you a lot from everyday clothes and materials from home!

BOOK FAYRE
There will be a book fayre in school from Wednesday 27th February to Monday 4th March 2019. Every class will get a chance to have a look at the books during school time. If you would like to buy a book for your child, please come along after school on the above dates from 3pm – 3:30pm. Any profit made from the sale of books will go towards buying new books for our school Library. Everyone is welcome to come along to the book fayre.

‘FRIENDS’ QUIZ NIGHT
Advance notice—The ‘Friends’ of Summerfields will be hosting a quiz night on Thursday 28th February for adults only. Arrive at 6:30pm for a prompt 7pm start. More details to follow nearer the time. Please save the date in your diary!

HEALTHY MORNING SNACK
We would like to remind parents to only send in healthy snacks for morning break. Please only send in fruit or cheese. Thank you for your continued support.

HALF TERM FUN AT LORD LOUIS LIBRARY
Tickets are now available for a fun session on Friday 22nd February 2019 from 2.00pm-4.00pm at the Lord Louis Library. During the session children can make fluffy rain clouds, decorate daffodil biscuits and write hidden messages. The cost is just £1.00 per ticket, which can be purchased directly from the Lord Louis Library. Please note children under 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For further details, please contact the library on 823823.

CONSIDERATE PARKING
Please can we respectfully ask you to park considerately around the estate. We have had a few reports of parents parking across residents driveways and over their ‘white lines’ which has caused upset to some of our neighbours. We really appreciate your support.

CHANGE TO LUNCH MENU
Please see below a change to next week’s lunch menu on Thursday 14th February. The cook will be serving up our favourite ‘Fish and Chip Friday’ on Thursday instead. Don’t forget Baguettes and Jacket Potatoes will also be available that day.

LUNCH MENU FOR NEXT WEEK:-

WHOLE SCHOOL MINDSET
Do the right thing, even when no-one else is looking.

WORD OF THE WEEK
Synergy—This word describes two things that work together to achieve more than they would individually. Another way to explain it is ‘a combined effort’. Have you worked in synergy with anyone at school this week?
