SINGLE-USE PLASTIC
The Education Secretary has urged all schools to eliminate their use of single use plastics by 2022. It has been recommended that we stop using items such as plastic bags, straws, bottles and food packaging in favour of sustainable alternatives. Please could we ask parents to support us and think about plastics you send into school and possible use at home. Thank you for your support.

FORGOTTEN SPORTS KIT
We regularly have children come to the school office to tell us they have forgotten their sports kit. They then ask us to telephone their parent to ask if they could bring their kit into school. We understand that calls to parents during the day can be very disruptive therefore in future, if a child forgets their kit, they will not be able to take part in the sporting activity/P.E. lesson. Parents will be texted to advise them of this and to ask for the kit to be brought into school the next day. Please encourage your child to remember to bring their kit to school on Mondays every week.

Can we respectfully remind parents that if a child has continual access to inappropriate games it could be considered a child protection issue. To have access to Facebook you should be aged 13, Instagram aged 13, Fortnite aged 12 and even access to the Minecraft chatroom has caused issues.
