If you would like to receive our weekly newsletter direct to your inbox on a Friday afternoon, please sign up via our website: www.summerfieldsprimary.co.uk. Just follow the link at the bottom right hand side of the webpage. Remember paper copies are always available from the school foyer but we are trying to cut down on the amount of paper we use as a school. Pupils will receive a paper copy when it is their turn to be “Star Pupil”.
SNACKS AT BREAKTIME
Please remember children should ONLY be bringing in fruit or cheese to eat at playtime. Therefore please DO NOT send in cakes, biscuits, snack bars, etc. We have previously advised parents that we do have children with life threatening allergies in school so NO nuts at all please. We are also a “healthy” school and try to encourage children to make the right choices. Thank you for your co-operation and support in this matter.
MIDDAY SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT VACANCY
We have a vacancy for a lunchtime MSA for several days a week and also to provide relief cover; the rate of pay is £8.70 an hour. If you would like more information about the job, please contact the school office on 525085.
AFTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL CLUB
Football Club was unable to take place this week as unfortunately Mr Murphy cannot run the club on his own. We are looking into ways we can solve this issue—which may include limiting the number of children who attend. If you know anyone who would like to help run the club, please let school know and we can put them in contact with Mr Murphy. Thank you.
WHOLE SCHOOL MINDSET
Don’t let what you can’t do, stop you from doing what you can do.
WORD OF THE WEEK
Concentration—meaning close attention or focusing. How often have you concentrated in school this week?
