VIOLIN LESSONS

Hello, I would like to introduce myself as the new violin/viola/cello teacher at Summerfields Primary.  My name is Helen Foster, I am a mother of four (one still at school on the Island) and I thrive on passing on my enjoyment of music and violin playing!  I have taught pupils from beginner to post Grade 8 for many years.  I would like to offer lessons to children who are interested in starting who are in Years 2 to 6.  Although I am part of the IW Music Service, I am self employed and so billing will be done with parents direct.  If any children would like to have a FREE STARTER SESSION to see if they are interested, please contact the school office or me directly at helen@con-brio.com.  Instruments can be provided and children learn either in a shared lesson or individual with the emphasis on a combination of laying down good foundations in technique and musicianship and most importantly having fun.

THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU ARE 11¾ …..  Make a trail with sticks.  You will need lots of sticks to lay on the ground in the shape of arrows so they are really clear for your friends and family to follow.  Stick a picture of yourself at the end of the trail for them to find!  Make the trail really fun by going over logs and around trees and bring something fun to hide as treasure!
