PARENTS’ EVENINGS

As per the letter sent out earlier this week, Parents’ Evenings are due to take place on Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th November 2018.  Sheets to sign up for appointments will be put up in the HALL first thing on Monday 29th October 2018, the first day back after half term.  These have been moved to the hall to avoid congestion in both Key Stage areas.  Please ensure that you sign up on the correct sheet for your child’s class.  Please note the sheets for Year R will be put up outside the Year R classroom.

HARVEST FESTIVAL & MUFTI DAY

Thank you for all your kind donations to our Harvest table.  These will now be distributed to Island families in need.  We will let you know how much we raised from the Autumn Colours “Mufti Day” after half term. Your generosity for both these causes is very much appreciated.

SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER

Please can all orders for school photographs be returned by 3pm on Monday 5th November 2018 AT THE LATEST.  Unfortunately any late orders cannot be accepted.  Please note school do not check these envelopes, everything is handed directly to Cardwell and Simons.  Payment can be made by cash, cheque or debit card.  Please ensure all envelopes are sealed and the outside completed as well as the inside order form.  Unfortunately school does not have the facility to provide change, so the correct payment should be included.  Thank you.

DIGITAL PARENTING MAGAZINE

We have been advised of an excellent resource to help parents keep their children safe on-line, Digital Parenting Magazine.  You can sign up at their website to receive their on-line magazine plus their website has lots of useful guidance for parents.

POMPEY IN THE COMMUNITY & 1LEISURE

Pompey in the community will be holding their ever popular courses during the half term holiday at Medina Leisure Centre.  These courses include multi-skills, handball, fun swimming as well as football!  Pre-booking is essential by contacting them directly on 02392 728899.

FLU VACCINATION

Did you miss the deadline for the return of the form to have your child vaccinated against flu at school?  You can still have your child vaccinated by visiting Boots branches in Cowes, Newport or Ryde High Street.  All children in Years R to 5 are entitled to receive this vaccination.

YEAR 6 PARENT LUNCH

Letters have gone home this week inviting parents of children in Year 6 to join their child for lunch on Wednesday 21st November 2018.  Please do not try and pay via www.eduspot.co.uk until you have returned the slip.  We will then put your request onto the system and ask for payment.  Thank you.
