INDONESIAN EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI
Following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia, school is organising a collection for the disaster relief fund to send shelter, food and water to the hundreds of thousands of people who have lost everything. If you would like to give a donation, there will be a collection bucket just inside the school hall from Monday morning. Thank you.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Don’t forget to return your slips for the two new After School Clubs. The Choir is for any pupils in Year 1 to 6 and is being held on a Monday. Cross Country is for pupils in Years 4, 5 or 6 and is on a Thursday. Both clubs commence the first week back after half term.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB LEAFLET
Every family should have received a Scholastic Book Club leaflet last week. Please can any orders be returned via the “Green Box” by Friday 12th October 2018. MEDINA COLLEGE OPEN EVENING

RESTART A HEART DAY 2018
On Tuesday 16th October 2018, Newport Fire Station are holding a public session for Restart a Heart Day. The session is being held between 3.00pm and 5.00pm and is free Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training and Defibrillator awareness training. Why not go along and learn some skills that could help save someone’s life.
Please ensure that your child brings a named coat to school every day. Children are expected to go outside at break and lunchtimes even if it is cold or slightly “drizzling”.
YEAR R PARENT LUNCH
We welcomed lots of parents from Year R to lunch last week and we hope you all enjoyed this meal with your children. Next half term we will be inviting Year 6 parents in. This will be on Wednesday 21st November 2018. Put it in your diaries!!! Letters will be forwarded at the beginning of next half term.
