GOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK

We wish all our Year 6 leavers the very best as they leave us today to go to Secondary School in September.  We hope all their parents, carers and families enjoyed their Leavers’ assembly as much as we did and congratulations to all the award winners.  Congratulations also go to Holly who won the Millie Moody Kindness Cup and Jaiden who won the Mr Snell Reading Champion Award.

We look forward to seeing everyone else back at school on WEDNESDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2018.  Have a great holiday everyone!

THANK YOU!

The Summerfields’ staff would all like to say a big “thank you” for all the lovely gifts and cards that they have received.  We really do appreciate such kind gestures.

HOUSE POINTS

Below are the House Point totals for this half term:-

Compton House 863

Whitecliff House 796

Appley House 790

Woodside House 609

Therefore the champions for this half term were Compton House!  Congratulations.  We are also very pleased to announce that more children then ever received Diamond House Point Awards.  This means they received a staggering 250 house points or more this year.  Every child who achieved a Gold House Point award or above went into a draw and there were four winners who each received a Book Token.  The winners were:-

         Beau Michael Shona Rosie

Well done to everyone.

SCHOOL REPORTS

Thank you to all the parents and carers who returned the reply slips enclosed with their child’s school report.  School really do appreciate the time taken to complete these slips, your feedback is always welcome and listened to.  On behalf of all the staff at Summerfields, thank you so much for the very kind comments received.

SCHOOL MEALS

We have been advised by Caterlink, the school’s caterers, that from September 2018 the cost of a school meal will increase from £1.85 to £1.95 per day.  Please remember that all dinners must be paid for in advance, rather that arrears, via www.eduspot.co.uk.  Please remember from the blue “sign in” button, you need to select the last option, School Money Parent Login to access your child’s account.  Jacket potatoes will be available as an option on Mondays and Tuesdays and baguettes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Roast dinner will still be on a Wednesday and either Fish Fingers or Battered Fish and chips on Fridays.

“MUSICAL MAYHEM”

Well done to everyone in Key Stage 2 who took part in our production of Musical Mayhem this week.  We hope everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed this musical extravaganza!  Thank you to all the staff for their hard work putting this show together, especially in such hot conditions.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Just a reminder, if you are buying new uniform over the holidays, our school uniform is available from Tesco Direct at www.tesco.com/ues as well as Kids & Co in Ryde.
