Newsletter 15/17

THANK YOU!

We hope all our pupils and their families have a very happy and restful Christmas and New Year.  Thank you to everyone for all the lovely cards and gifts, we really do appreciate your generosity.  Remember school reopens on Monday 8th January 2018!

GLAD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY

We are very pleased to announce that Tesco are now able to supply our embroidered uniform via Tesco Direct. It will be delivered to your home and you will earn Tesco points.  In addition Tesco will donate 5% of sales to the school.  Go to www.tesco.com/ues and search for Summerfields. Please note unfortunately they are unable to supply PE t-shirts at the moment.  You can still obtain uniform from Kids & Co in Ryde.  Compare the uniform market and find that every little helps!

CATERLINK—NEW SCHOOL MENU

This week your child should have brought home a new school menu which starts next term.  We have also published it on this website, and it can be found here.  Please note when we return on 8th January 2018 we will start on Week 2.

LOST SCHOOL UNIFORM

Unfortunately we have had a number of “named” school jumpers go missing recently.  Please take time during the holidays to go through your child’s uniform to ensure that they have not accidently taken home the wrong jumper or PE kit items.  Thank you.

CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY

We raised £128.00 for the NSPCC by wearing our Christmas/Winter jumpers to school on Christmas lunch day.  Everyone looked fantastic.  Thank you to Mrs Daly who bought the crackers for the children!  We would also like to thank Louise, our cook, the Caterlink staff and school staff who worked extra hard to make this such an enjoyable occasion.

KEY STAGE 2 CHRISTINGLE

Following the Key Stage 2 Christingle this week, we have been contacted by St Paul’s to thank us for such a wonderful service and to say what a great start to Christmas this provided.  You can hear it (or download) at the St. Paul’s website www.stpaulsbarton.co.uk  using the link on the banner on the homepage, the latest teaching link or on the teaching & audio page—where there is a programme http://www.stpaulsbarton.co.uk/media/.  Well done to everyone who took part.
