MUFTI DAY—FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER
Don’t forget next Friday 1st December 2017 we are holding a “mufti day” in aid of the Christmas Fayre being held by the Friends of Summerfields. For a minimum donation of £1 your child can come to school dressed in ‘mufti’. Please remember children will still need to wear sensible shoes and bring a coat to wear at break and lunch time. The Christmas Fayre will take place the following Friday, 8th December 2017, straight after school. Thank you for your support.
Caterlink, our school meal providers, would like to hear what parents/carers think of how they are performing as our new meal providers so far! If you would like to take part, a short survey can be completed online using the following link:- https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/KD5K62B
Please can we ask that children do not wear excessively large, colourful bows in their hair to school. While we have requested that all long hair is securely tied back, please can only small, school pale coloured bows, grips and slides be worn. Thank you.
“PHIL THE BAG”
Don’t forget the new date for “Phil the Bag” is this coming Wednesday 29th November 2017. Please leave bags of clothes etc. between the two black gates by 8:45am at the latest.
Just a reminder that Open Classrooms are taking place next week:-
Tuesday 28th November for Years R, 2, 4 and 6 and
Wednesday 29th November for Years 3 and 5
Please feel free to pop in and see your child’s class in action!
CHRISTMAS LUNCH AND PARTY DAY
Please remember ALL slips for Christmas lunch and Party Day need to be returned via the “Green Box” in the lobby by THURSDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2017. All children who are entitled to receive a Free School Meal in Key Stages 1 and 2 will receive this lunch UNLESS you advise us otherwise. However if they would like to have the Party Day “picnic” lunch on the last day, everyone needs to fill in the slip with their choice of sandwich. If your child is not entitled to Free School Meals, the cost of both Christmas lunch and Party Day picnic is £1.85 each. Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to speak to the office. Unfortunately any slips returned after this time will be returned as all food has to be ordered by this date. Thank you.
HAVE YOU SEEN THESE IMPORTANT LETTERS SENT HOME THIS WEEK?
Year 2 letter about children independently walking into school
NSPCC Speak out Stay Safe assemblies and workshops taking place on 4th December 2017
Reception and Key Stage 1 Production letter
We still have children coming to school without a coat. Please can EVERY child bring a coat to school every day. Thank you.
Do you know what’s on your child’s phone? What they are able to access on-line and what they are sharing with their friends? There are several apps that you can download to try to keep them safer. Remember nothing is fool-proof and so we suggest you do still monitor what they have on their phone and ensure their privacy and security settings are sufficient for their age.
