FRIENDS OF SUMMERFIELDS UPCOMING EVENTS

MONDAY 16TH OCTOBER 3PM We need your help! Could you help us to run a stall or set up for an event?  Please pop along to our first meeting.  We will be discussing up and coming events including this year’s Christmas Fair. Everyone is welcome, including your little ones.

FRIDAY 3RD NOVEMBER School Disco for Years R, 1 and 2 from 5–6pm and KS2 6:15pm—7:30pm. £1 entry.

FRIDAY 17TH NOVEMBER Movie Night (Lego Batman Movie) for all year groups from 4-6pm.

MONDAY 20TH NOVEMBER Chocoholics tasting evening for adults only (16+).

WEDNESDAY 22ND NOVEMBER ‘Phil the bag’.  Please bring your unwanted clothes, shoes, bedding etc. in a black bag to be recycled.

FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER Non-school uniform day, £1.

FRIDAY 8TH DECEMBER Christmas Fair.

DOG FREE SCHOOL

We respectfully remind you that school is a ‘Dog Free Zone’.  Please do not bring your dog onto the school grounds or tie them up to the school railings. Thank you.

 

HOME SCHOOL AGREEMENTS / DATA COLLECTION SHEETS

Please can we ask you to read with your child the Home School Agreement being sent home today. Then please sign to say that you agree to the actions and send the pink copy back to school, the white copy is for your information.  Data collection sheets were also sent home recently, please check, amend if necessary and sign and return to school as soon as possible.  We need to keep your information up to date in case we have to contact you in an emergency.  You are responsible for keeping school informed.

 

IWLF YOUTH ZONE WEEKEND

Come to the fantastic Youth Zone for lots and lots of free and ticketed events at the Isle of Wight Literary Festival this weekend the 14th – 15th October. If you like comedy, illustration, stories, performance, theatre skills, making things, Forest school, Spooky tales and many more, please visit: www.isleofwightliteraryfestival.com for more details about events and online booking.  Come along and visit the Literary Festival at Northwood House Cowes this weekend to see for yourself.

 

SPOOKY HALF TERM FUN AT NASTY NEWPORT ROMAN VILLA

Peculiar Pop-Up Puppets on Monday 23rd October, come and make a spooky pop-up puppet to take home.

Creepy Clay Day on Wednesday 25th October, come and make your own miniature mask to take home.

Only £1 per session, just turn up, no need to book. Each session will run from 11am—3pm.

POMPEY IN THE COMMUNITY AFTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL CLUB

If your child is interested in joining the football after school club after half term, please call 02392 728899 or visit: www.pompeyitc.co.uk.  The after school club will run on Tuesdays, 3-4pm from 31st October to 12th December. We need at least 6 children to make the club viable.
