ATTENDANCE

The whole school attendance for April was 96.13% which is above our target of 96%. Well done to  everyone.  Class attendance percentages for April were as follows:-

England Class                              91.30%

India Class                                     97.41%

China Class                                   94.29%

Australia Class                             98.17%

Kenya Class                                  98.00%

Peru Class                                     97.39%

Great Britain Class 96.55%

Congratulations to Australia Class who were April’s Attendance Stars!  They were presented with the trophy in today’s Celebration Assembly.

 

YEAR 6 SATs

SATs will take place next week. Please make sure your child has sensible bedtimes, eats a filling breakfast and brings extra snacks to school if required. School will also provide a range of squash, milk, fruit and snacks for before and after demanding sessions!

 

DINNER MONEY AND TRIPS

We would like to thank parents who keep track of the dinners their child has had and regularly ‘top up’ their  schoolmoney.com account.  We are also grateful for parents who pay for any school trips or clubs online which saves valuable office staff time chasing payments.

 

WHOLE SCHOOL YEARLY ATTENDANCE

Our pupil attendance target for the year is 96%. Whole school attendance so far, up to 30th April is 95.42%; so lets see if we can beat our target this year!  Please try to be here on time everyday.

 

MAY DAY AT ARRETON BARNS

What a day it was!  All our pupils who took part in the Country Dancing celebrations at Arreton Barns on Bank holiday Monday were a credit to the school.  The rain held off and our dancers shone!  Well done to you all.

 

CHILD OF WIGHT AWARD

Each year Isle of Wight Radio hold a Child of Wight award ceremony.  Oliver, one of our pupils, has been shortlisted for the Child’s Courage of Wight award.  We wish Oliver all the best and hope that he does well.

 

MEDINA COLLEGE TRANSITION 2017

MAY FAYRE

The ‘Friends of Summerfields’ will be holding the May Fayre next Friday 12th May, 3—6pm.  Please come along to this event.  We welcome, parents, grandparents, friends of the family etc. Thank you for your continued support.

 

WATER BOTTLES

We have had a constant queue of pupils coming to the school office asking for a cup as they have forgotten their water bottle.  Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle to school every day.  Thank you.

 

CLASS PHOTOGRAPHS

Reminder that all photograph orders need to be returned to school via the  ‘green box’ by Tuesday 9th May.
