STAR PUPILS
There will be no Star Pupil assembly next week. School will finish on Friday 7th April at 3:00pm and we return on Monday 24th April.

EASTER CHARIOT CHALLENGE KEY STAGE 2
We are so ‘eggs’-cited to see your ‘eggs’traordinary designs. We know that you have all been working very hard making your chariot designs; remember they have to be able to carry a hard boiled egg. All design entries need to be brought into school on Monday 3rd April. Good luck!

ONLINE BOOKING FOR PARENTS’ EVENING
Following a request to look into an online booking system we have worked out it would cost the school £300. We feel that this is a lot of money, especially in a time of reducing budgets, so for now we will not be buying into it. It was a good idea and if finances improve we will look into it again.

FANTASTIC FOOTBALL FINALE
In what has become the annual end of season match between Summerfields and Barton, we came out on top in this local derby. In the A team game, a goal by Cain put Summerfields ahead, but Barton equalised just before full time. In the B team match, goalkeeper turned striker Matthew scored two great goals to give Summerfields a deserved 2-0 win. Well played to all the players who have represented the school this season.

SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
We would gratefully appreciate any Sainsbury’s active kid vouchers that you may have. There is a collection box in the school foyer and the vouchers are being issued until 2nd May 2017. Thank you.

CHANGE TO LUNCH MENU
The lunch menu for next Wednesday, 5th April 2017 will now be:
Roast chicken with stuffing
Baked stuffed potato (vegetarian)
Roast potatoes
Seasonal vegetables
Orange frosted carrot cake

FRIENDS OF SUMMERFIELDS
Next Monday 3rd April, the ‘Friends’ are holding an Easter fun afternoon from 3:00pm—5:00pm. There will be a treasure hunt, cake and tea stall, pre-loved clothing stall, balloons and a lucky dip. Everyone is welcome to come along, the more the merrier! Please remember that all children need to be accompanied by an adult.

MINUTES LATE
The number of pupils late after the register closed this week meant that 81 minutes of learning were lost. Please arrive at school on time, be seated and ready to learn by 8:45am.

YEAR 6 VISIT TO UKSA
We would like to thank UKSA for their kind invitation of a free 3 hour sailing session. Year 6 visited the sailing club on Wednesday and had an amazing time on the water. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, behaved extremely well and were a credit to the school. Thank you Year 6.
