ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL
If your child is absent from school due to illness please telephone the school by 9:30am and leave a message on the absence line (option 2). Please leave the reason for absence, your child’s name and their class. Their absence will be noted on the register but marked as ‘unauthorised’ until a written explanation is received; we have a supply of yellow absence forms in the foyer for your convenience. If you are unable to make a call due to poor signal or no credit on your phone, please e-mail the office, again by 9:30am, to email@example.com. Thank you.

We have an exciting menu change next Thursday 19th January. Instead of Chinese Chicken Noodles, the cook will be making hot dogs with onions or macaroni cheese with sides of potato wedges, corn on the cob, peas and coleslaw. The dessert will be strawberry ice-cream. We would like as many children as possible to try this new meal choice, no need to book, all children need to do is let their teacher know that they would like a school meal as usual.
Unfortunately we have had several occurrences of children returning to school after the holidays with headlice. Please can you check your child’s hair this weekend and treat if necessary. Thank you.
STAY AND READ
You are invited to come along to ‘Stay and Read’ in your child’s class on Friday 20th January, between 8:45am and 9:00am. Please bring a book from home if you would like to read with a group of children. We hope lots of you can come!
