BOOK WEEK

Next week to coincide with World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March 2016, we would like children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character!  During the week we will be holding lots of exciting activities.  Look out  for a letter in your child’s book bag for further details.

PARENTAL SURVEYS

This week we have sent home our annual Parental Surveys.  We find these a very useful tool to find ways we can improve and in the past parents have come up with some really useful ideas that school have adopted.  Therefore we would be very grateful if you could take the time to give your opinion of Summerfields.  Replies can be anonymous and returned via the “Green Box”.

MUFTI DAY

We raised £171.50 for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice from our Mufti Day held on the last day of term.  Thank you for your support.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB

Every family should have received a Book Club leaflet this week.  Please can any orders be returned to school by Wednesday 9th March 2016.  Please can payment be made by cheque or debit card—no cash please–via the “Green Box” in the lobby.  Thank you.

PE KITS IN SCHOOL

Every child should have a PE kit in school EVERY day.  From now on if your child does not have their kit, or part of their kit, in school, a note will be sent home informing you that they have been unable to take part in their PE lesson.  PE lessons are a statutory part of the curriculum and children should not be missing them.  For your information there is a school uniform list, detailing the PE kit required, including plimsolls, trainers etc.  on the website, which can be found here. Please remember children’s earrings must be removed for their PE lessons.  If they are unable to do this themselves, then they should be removed before children come to school.  Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
