MUFTI DAY

School is holding a “mufti day” in aid of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice next Friday, the last day of this half term.  Children can come to school in “sensible” play clothes and pay £1.00 for the privilege!  Remember to send a coat as they still go out to play.

LOST PROPERTY

All lost property will be on display from next Monday 8th February 2016.  Please can we ask that you take a look if your child has lost any items of clothing. Please remember to label EVERYTHING that your child wears to school as belongings are much easier to return.  Thank you.

STAFF CAR PARK

Please DO NOT park in the staff car park and walk through with your children.  It is provided for the sole use of staff.  It is very dangerous as staff cannot see small children when using the car park.  HW56 FTP and BP55 GUF were seen parking there recently —please find alternative parking.  Thank you.

PARENTS’ EVENINGS

Parents’ evenings are due to take place on Tuesday 9th February 2016 and Thursday 11th February 2016.  A letter was sent home this week to every family regarding the arrangements for these evenings.  We would like to encourage as many families as possible to attend these important meetings.

FUNDAY AT DINOSAUR ISLE

Don’t forget this Sunday, 7th February 2016, Dinosaur Isle Museum are holding  a FREE family fun day.  The event takes places from 10.00am with last entry at 3.00pm.  There will be lots of fun activities to take part in.

THE LITTLE PRINCESS TRUST

Daniel Toogood, who has a child here at Summerfields, is having his head shaved in aid of The Little Princess Trust.  This is a charity which raises money for wigs for children with cancer.  It is taking place at Costa in Newport at 10.00am this Saturday.  If you would like to support Daniel in this worthwhile cause, donations can be made to the school office or go along and support him on the day.
