ATTENDANCE TROPHY

The 100% attendance percentages for April were as follows:-

England Class                            63.33%

India Class                                   82.76%

China Class                                81.82%

Australia Class                           80.00%

Kenya Class                               76.67%

Peru Class                                   79.31%

Great Britain Class 72.00%

Congratulations to India Class who win the trophy this month.  The whole school percentage for April was      94.16% which is well below our target of 97%.

 

CONGRATULATIONS!

Well done to our first Gold Certificate winner Mason!  Come on everyone else—catch up!

 

CLASS GROUP SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS

Just a reminder that any orders for class photographs need to be returned to school by this Monday 11th May 2015 via the “green box”.  All envelopes must be sealed with the correct payment by cash or cheque enclosed.  Please ensure that the outside of the envelope is completed with all the relevant details.

 

MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS

On Bank Holiday Monday the Summerfields’ Country Dancers who took part in the May Day Celebrations at Arreton Barns.  Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our dancers and to Mrs Stiles for organising the event.  In her own words the event was “brilliant”.  A massive well done to everyone concerned.

 

FAMILY LIAISON OFFICER

We are very pleased to confirm that Mrs Sally Murphy has been appointed as our new Family Liaison Officer.  Look out shortly for further information about how to contact Mrs Murphy and for details of the support that she will be offering to parents.  We wish Mrs Murphy well in her new role at Summerfields.

 

FRIENDS OF SUMMERFIELDS DISCOS

The Friends’ school discos take place next Friday 15th May 2015.  The Reception and Key Stage 1 disco is from 6.00pm to 7.00pm when parents are required to stay.  The Key Stage 2 isco is from 7.15pm to 8.15pm.    Parents do not need to stay but if you would like to there will be a “parents café” to sit and have a quiet cup of tea and a piece of cake!

Children can come to school in “mufti” that day and bring along a donation for the Tombola stall—any second hand book or dvd which must be SUITABLE FOR CHILDRENIf you are interested in helping, please let the office know.  Thank you.

 

STARSNAPPERS

Starsnappers have held very exciting workshops for children in all years of Summerfields this week.  They have had the opportunity to take photographs and be photographed!  Once the proofs are received they will be sent out and you will be able to purchase if you like the results!

 

JUNIOR RUN WIGHT CHALLENGE 2015
