DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES
Please see the events page of the school website for important dates for the whole of this term until school breaks up in July. This list is NOT exhaustive AND may be subject to change and should be used as a guide to future events in school. If any dates need to be changed these will be advised as soon as these are known. Thank you.
The Isle of Wight Council have confirmed that there is currently NO Crossing Patrol Warden on the zebra crossing at Staplers until further notice. As soon as they appoint a new one we will let you know, but until then if your child walks home alone there will be no one to cross them across the road before or after school.
Next week there is a menu change for St George’s Day. There will be a Roast Beef dinner on Thursday with Banoffee Pudding for dessert. Chicken pasta will served on Wednesday instead of Thursday. Thank you.
Please remember ALL children need a bottle of water in school EVERY day especially during hot weather. We are still giving away lots of water bottles that we are not receiving payment for. Unfortunately we are finding that children are throwing away their water bottles, rather than refilling them from the water coolers in school. Please can you remind your child to refill their water bottle and not throw it away.
Children do also need a hat in school during hot weather. Please can you ensure that hats are clearly named. It may also be a good idea to apply “all day” sun cream to your child on very hot days before they come to school.
THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOU ARE 11¾ …
Canoe down a river! See the world from a duck’s point of view. What you need is:- a canoe, paddles, a life jacket, a river and expert advice and supervision. Going round and round in circles can get a bit boring! Paddle evenly on both sides to go in a straight line and actually get somewhere. This isn’t the kind of thing you do every day but can be great fun.
